MCI opens registration for the second cohort of the PAEF to support female entrepreneurship

December 17, 2025

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has opened registration for the second cohort of the Project to Support Female Entrepreneurship (PAEF), stating its intention to “provide technical and financial support to income-generating activities.” The institution stresses the need to increase the presence of women business leaders in an economic environment still marked by significant disparities.

The program targets existing projects or innovative ideas capable of demonstrating a real impact on their communities. The MCI notes that “priority is given to sectors such as agriculture, processing, recycling, tourism, and technology,” while remaining open to other relevant fields.

To be eligible, applicants must lead a business established in Haiti, be in an expansion phase, or present an innovative, income-generating idea. The statement also specifies that applicants “must not be current beneficiaries of other MCI projects,” in order to ensure a fair distribution of resources.

The registration period runs from December 9 to 31, 2025, via an online form on the ministry’s website. The business plan must follow the official template, which “will be automatically recorded upon completion of the process,” according to the provided guidelines.

Through this initiative, the MCI reaffirms its commitment to sustainable and inclusive economic development by supporting innovative female-led initiatives. The stated objective is clear: to make the PAEF a tangible lever for modernizing and energizing female entrepreneurship across the country.
