The Provisional Electoral Council (PEC) has taken a new step in preparing for the upcoming elections by making available to the public the draft electoral decree that will define the rules governing the process. In a statement published on October 30, 2025, the institution invited political parties and civil society organizations to review the document before its final adoption.
Interested parties may obtain a printed copy of the text at the PEC headquarters, located at 72 Stephen Archer Street, Pétion-Ville, from October 31 to November 10, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. According to the statement, this initiative aims to ensure transparency in the process and to encourage broad participation from all relevant stakeholders.
The Council specified that all comments, observations, and suggestions must be submitted within the same period and at the same location. Through this approach, it hopes to build a consensual electoral framework in which every voice can contribute to the credibility of the vote.
In a context of high political expectations and a search for institutional stability, the PEC reaffirmed its commitment to organizing inclusive and impartial elections. The body also expressed its intent to strengthen citizens’ confidence in the electoral process and to reaffirm its independence from any external influence.
“This initiative reflects our determination to act transparently and to involve all the nation’s active forces,” the statement emphasized. The PEC thus encourages parties and organizations to fully exercise their civic role by actively participating in this consultation.
