Security: The United States Inaugurates Communications Command Center Alongside Haitian Police

June 8, 2025

On Tuesday, May 27, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Jon Piechowski took part in the official launch of the Communications Command Center (C3i), a strategic milestone for security efforts in Haiti. Standing alongside the Haitian National Police (PNH) and international partners, he hailed the initiative as a “major step” in the fight against armed gangs.

The center, funded by the United States, Canada, and the UNDP Basket Fund, is built on advanced coordination technologies. It will enhance the operational efficiency of both the PNH and the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) on the ground.

“This is a new phase in international cooperation,” emphasized Piechowski, highlighting joint efforts to neutralize criminal groups. He also urged the global community to “provide additional international support to restore security in the country.”

The launch of the C3i represents a tangible commitment to stabilizing Haiti amid a critical security crisis. Reaffirming the U.S. position, the American diplomat stated, “We stand with Haiti.”
