The Ministry of Public Works Transport and Communications (MTPTC) has initiated rehabilitation works on the road leading to the Aéroport junction — a key artery of National Route 3 (RN3). The project comes in response to urgent infrastructure needs in this rapidly developing area of Cap-Haïtien.
According to the MTPTC, the work includes road surface restoration and improved drainage to ensure greater durability. The ministry reiterated its commitment to modernizing Haiti’s national road network to promote smoother and safer transportation.
“A well-maintained road is vital for boosting the economy and improving daily life for commuters,” the ministry emphasized. The project is part of a broader national strategy aimed at opening up remote regions and encouraging trade and mobility.
Authorities are encouraging residents to follow the project’s progress, with promises of regular updates. Cap-Haïtien is thus on track for a major transformation of its urban infrastructure.
