August 19, 2025

The Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ in French) has welcomed a new head, Inspector General Justin Marc. He was officially installed on Monday, August 18, 2025, by Inspector General Berson Soljour, Chief of Staff to the Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (HNP).

This solemn ceremony took place in the presence of several senior officials, administrative staff, and DCPJ agents. The event marked the end of Inspector General Pierre René François’s term, whom Justin Marc succeeds.

In his inaugural speech, the new Central Director expressed his commitment to revitalizing the DCPJ. He emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration with all personnel for a more effective fight against crime.

Justin Marc’s career within the police institution reflects rich and diverse experience. He has notably led the Administrative Police, the Western Department, the Land Border Police, and served as deputy at the National Police School.

With this appointment, the HNP aims to give new momentum to the DCPJ, considered an essential link in the public security system. Expectations are high in the face of growing challenges related to crime and citizen protection.
