Magalie Habitant, former director of the SNGRS, Victor Profane, and Elionor Devallon, former head of the CAS, appeared this Monday, April 27, before the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince. Their appearance is part of a sensitive judicial case involving serious suspicions of connections with armed networks operating in the country.
Arrested in 2025 during an operation carried out by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police, the three former senior officials are being prosecuted for their alleged involvement in a system supporting criminal groups. Investigators notably refer to logistical and financial support provided to these structures, in a context marked by the expansion of armed violence in Haiti.
The case forms part of a series of judicial actions targeting public figures accused of collusion with gangs as the security crisis worsens.
