New elements have reignited the investigation into the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, with the name Joseph Badio resurfacing in testimonies. According to Rudolph Jaar, he was approached between late May and early June by a contact named Francis, as part of a project involving individuals already known in the case.
Jaar claims he was invited to meet Badio at the home of Dr. Lalanne, a longtime acquaintance. During this meeting, a plan was discussed to “remove Jovenel Moïse” and replace him with Judge Wendelle Coq.
According to his account, Badio allegedly requested “$300,000” to support the operation. When Jaar declined due to lack of funds, another request was reportedly made for “$10,000 for a personal matter.”
At the same time, the testimony of former senator John Joël Joseph, who has pleaded guilty in the case, is nearing its conclusion. His credibility has been strongly challenged by the defense, which accuses him of attempting to “implicate Fantom,” of having ties with Vitelhomme, and of keeping Badio informed about CTU activities.
