On Sunday, June 22, 2025, French Ambassador to Haiti, Antoine Michon, visited Kenscoff, a locality in the Ouest department that has been heavily affected by a surge in armed attacks since January 27. “I visited the mayor of Kenscoff and the PNH commissioner to salute their commitment in the fight against criminal groups that have sown terror,” Michon wrote on social media. He reaffirmed that “France fully supports the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) in reclaiming the territory.”
