
Haitian authorities announced this Friday a reduction of 25 gourdes on the pump prices of gasoline and diesel, in accordance with the recommendations of the Petroleum Market Monitoring Advisory Council.
With this revision, the price of a gallon of gasoline drops from 725 to 700 gourdes, while diesel falls from 850 to 825 gourdes. The price of kerosene remains maintained at 845 gourdes per gallon, according to the spokesperson for the Advisory Council, Jacques Anderson Desroches.
The new rates are expected to come into effect at the country’s gas stations within the next 48 hours, the union leader specified.
