Major Haitian Gangs Targeted: A Us Reward To Dismantle Their Financial Networks

April 4, 2026

The United States Embassy in Haiti announces, this Wednesday, a reward of up to 3 million dollars, accompanied by a possible relocation, for any relevant information on the financial activities of the Viv Ansanm and Gran Grif gang groups. This initiative aims to encourage public collaboration in identifying the financial flows fueling these organizations.

According to US authorities, these groups use violence and terror to maintain their influence and finance their operations. Their sources of income notably include extortion, kidnapping for ransom, arms and drug trafficking, as well as the theft of vehicles, crops, and livestock.

The information gathered will be treated confidentially and can help weaken the logistical and financial networks of these groups. Authorities invite anyone with useful information to transmit it in order to support efforts to reduce the stranglehold of these criminal organizations over certain areas of the territory.
