Immigration Crackdown: DCPJ Arrests Director And Several Employees

An operation carried out this Monday in Port-au-Prince by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police led to the arrest of the Director of Immigration, Antoine Jean Simon Fénélon. Several agents of the institution were also apprehended during this intervention.

In addition to the main director, the production director, Jean Osselin Lambert, as well as other employees, were arrested under the same circumstances. According to available information, at least three agents were apprehended during this coordinated action. All of the arrested individuals were taken to the Port-au-Prince prosecutor’s office for legal proceedings.

This intervention is believed to be part of an ongoing investigation into presumed irregularities related to the issuance of passports to foreign nationals. No official confirmation has been provided at this stage by the competent authorities.
