
The residence of Haitian journalist Marvel Dandin was targeted in an armed attack on the night of March 12, 2026, in Soisson, in the hills above Pétion-Ville. Armed men reportedly attacked the property around 12:30 a.m., causing alarm among nearby residents.
According to information reported notably by Le Nouvelliste, the assailants spent more than half an hour attempting to force entry to the upper floor where the director of Radio Kiskeya has his bedroom. Several gunshots were also fired inside the residence during the attack.
Alerted by the gunfire and calls from residents, police eventually intervened at the scene. The arrival of officers reportedly forced the armed individuals to abandon their attempt and flee.
A justice of the peace dispatched to the scene carried out the official inspection and collected eight shell casings. Deeply shaken by the incident, Marvel Dandin is still recovering from the night of tension, as the attack is already raising concern within the press sector.
