Divisional Commissioner Pierre Louis Cangé has been promoted to the rank of Inspector General and installed as the new coordinator of Presidential Security. The official ceremony, presided over by the Chief Commander of the Haitian National Police (HNP), André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, took place on November 3, 2025, at the National Palace.

Several senior HNP officials, including Inspectors General Jean Maurest Étienne and Jacques Joël Orival, attended the event. Staff from the National Palace as well as agents of Presidential Security were also present to witness the transfer of responsibility.

Following the installation, Inspector General Paraison, accompanied by the Central Director of Administrative Police, visited the Villa d’Accueil to introduce the new coordinator to the National Palace Secretary General, Marie Élisabeth Régine Joseph Haddad. She praised “the exemplary career” of the new appointee and extended her congratulations on his nomination.

Commander Paraison expressed his confidence in Pierre Louis Cangé’s ability to “carry out the mission of protecting the Head of State with rigor and professionalism.” This appointment marks a new step in strengthening the presidential security apparatus as the HNP continues its internal reorganization.
