Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé officially launched Haiti’s preparedness efforts for the 2025 hurricane season on Thursday, April 17, during a strategic meeting held at the Official Residence. Ministers and civil protection officials gathered to coordinate a robust national response.
A comprehensive emergency plan was unveiled, focusing on prevention, protection of vulnerable populations, and rapid response. “We will do everything in our power to ensure that every Haitian is protected from the climate hazards ahead,” declared the Prime Minister, emphasizing the urgency of the task.
Participants assessed critical infrastructure, including emergency shelters and communication networks, and reviewed the operational readiness of key regions. The National Risk Management System was also examined to ensure seamless coordination across all levels.
