Inspector General Arol Enol Alphonse was officially installed as the head of the Central Directorate of Administrative Police (DCPA) on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The ceremony took place in the press room of the General Directorate of the Haitian National Police (PNH) in Clercine 8, attended by several high-ranking officials of the institution.
Acting PNH Director General Rameau Normil appointed Alphonse to the position, with Inspector General Smith Peyo, the Director General’s Chief of Staff, overseeing the installation. This leadership change aligns with broader efforts to “revitalize the police force to better address the current security challenges.”
In his inaugural speech, Arol Enol Alphonse regretted the absence of his predecessor, Inspector General Alain Auguste. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between all security forces in the country to “more effectively combat organized crime nationwide.”
The new DCPA also called for increased state support, particularly in logistical and technological resources. He stressed that these enhancements are crucial for improving the operational capacity of the PNH and ensuring a more effective response to public security issues.
