Sunrise Airways announced today the immediate cancellation of all flights to and from Panama. The move follows a decision by Panamanian authorities and will remain in effect “until further notice.”
In a statement dated September 22, 2025 circulating online from Panamanian authorities, it is said that the Director General, the Security Minister and the National Immigration Service instructed them to halt all flights coming from Haiti. Sunrise Airways informed that passengers impacted by the cancellations will soon receive details on “next steps and available options.”
The airline’s management expressed gratitude to travelers for their cooperation in this unexpected situation. “Thank you for your patience and understanding,” Sunrise Airways emphasized, while pledging tailored support for each case.
