The Confédération nationale des Vodouisants haïtiens has reached a historic milestone with the election of Florence Deltor Jean Joseph as National Ati.
Elected on March 7, 2026, she becomes the first woman to hold this highest position within the organization representing the Vodou sector in Haiti.
According to official results, she won the vote with 111 ballots, far ahead of her competitors.
Leonel Mompoint Mondestin received 28 votes, Carol De Lynch 23 votes, and Garnier Séjour 12 votes.
For Tamy Dulia Dufresne, a member of the KNVA grand servitorat, this election crowns a remarkable career. She noted that the new National Ati previously held several roles within the confederation, including Gwètòde and plenipotentiary.
Held in a difficult security context, the vote combined online and in-person participation.
The official Osman ceremony marking her enthronement is scheduled for April.
