Crisis at the CPT: High-Tension Meeting at the Villa d’Accueil

Transitional Council Announces National Reconciliation Plan

The meeting among presidential advisors ultimately did not begin until 3:25 p.m., illustrating the intense tensions surrounding discussions within the Transitional Presidential Council (TPC).

According to our information, five presidential advisors remain firmly committed to removing the Prime Minister, while CPT president Laurent Saint-Cyr opposes the move, deepening internal divisions.

The document related to this initiative has not yet been transmitted to the presidency’s general secretariat, delaying any formalization and fueling uncertainty about the process’s outcome.

Asked about the consequences of a potential refusal to sign by the CPT president, attorney Samuel Madistin believes the CPT retains the authority to make decisions until February 6, 2026.

In this context, all eyes remain on the Villa d’Accueil, where the atmosphere remains electric—symbolic of a political crisis that continues to worsen.
