In a publication on X (formerly Twitter), the Minister of Justice, Attorney Carlos Hercule, announced that Attorney Lionel Constant Bourgoin has been named the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince.
In 2011, Attorney Bourgoin already occupied this post. He led the Anti-Corruption Unit (known as Unité de Lutte contre la Corruption in French) as director in 2016. In 2008, he was named the Director of the National Judiciary School. Prior to that, he was the Public Prosecutor in the city of Jacmel from 1999 to 2003.
According to the social media publication, Attorney Bourgoin replaced Attorney Elder Guillaume, who was promoted to Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeals of Port-au-Prince.
