The General Secretariat of the Presidency confirmed on Monday, October 27, 2025, that the national time will be set back by sixty minutes during the night of Saturday, November 1, to Sunday, November 2. This change, scheduled for 2:00 a.m., is being implemented in accordance with the presidential decree of March 7, 2012, on time regulation in Haiti.
This measure returns the country to standard time, in line with current legal provisions. Authorities are reminding the public and all public and private institutions to adjust their clocks to avoid any inconvenience in the management of daily activities.
The official notice, signed by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Marie L. Régine Joseph Haddad, encourages everyone to anticipate this change. The government emphasizes that this time adjustment aims to maintain administrative and technical consistency across the entire national territory.
