
Fifty Haitian nationals in an irregular migration situation were apprehended by the Dominican army during a patrol operation in Hatico and Guayabal. The group included 43 men, four women, and three minors.
The operation was carried out by members of the General José María Cabral fortress as part of border control and surveillance efforts. The objective was to reinforce security and support local migration authorities.
Those detained were placed in custody pending transfer to the competent authorities, in accordance with legal procedures governing irregular migration.
The operation is part of the Dominican army’s ongoing efforts to control migration flows and reflects heightened vigilance against clandestine crossings and irregular migration situations.
