A Tide of Haitian Supporters With the Grenadiers for Final World Cup match

June 26, 2026

An impressive crowd of Haitian supporters flooded Johnson Park in the United States this Wednesday, June 24, 2026, during a march of support and recognition for the Grenadiers. Proudly displaying the national colors, thousands of compatriots came to salute the historic achievement of the Haitian national team, which qualified for a World Cup for the first time since 1974.

In a festive atmosphere, participants chanted slogans in honor of the national team throughout the route leading to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Haiti was set to face Morocco at 6:00 PM this Wednesday for its final match of the tournament. Despite the team’s elimination, the supporters’ enthusiasm remained intact. “Elimine ou pa, Bwa Kale!” (“Eliminated or not, Bwa Kale!”—a rallying cry for the team) they chanted in unison, demonstrating their unwavering attachment to the Grenadiers.

A significant police presence accompanied the march, which began around 3:00 PM, to ensure the safety of participants. Haitian flags, national team jerseys, and blue-and-red accessories dominated the landscape, transforming the streets into a true showcase of Haitian patriotism.

On Amitié FM’s microphone, several supporters expressed that they were experiencing an exceptional moment. Some explained that they had never known such fervor around the national team and that they wanted to be present to write this page of history, as Haiti and Morocco met for the first time in an official competition.
